The 5th-8th Grade classes had the opportunity to visit the new Sea Life Aquarium at the Arizona Mills Mall. The Aquarium provides the opportunity for the students to see and even touch some of the animals that live in the Ocean. The animals ranged from Sea Horses to Sting Rays to a 7 foot Shark. As we walked through the Aquarium there are facts about each animal written on the wall next to the tank. Along with the facts there is a trail of quiz questions so that everyone can check their knowledge about different types of animals. This was a lot of fun and a great learning experience for the students and even the teachers!

Science Fair!
Hello All!
It is time for students in 5th-8th grade to start their projects for the Science Fair! This is a great opportunity to take Science to the next level. At this time students should be brainstorming and coming up with their idea or problem they are going to test with their projects. Some students have already came up with their ideas and they are off to a great start. If a student is having a hard time with finding an idea for a project, have them come talk to me and I’ll be more than happy to help them out.
DUE DATES:
- This week – Idea or Problem for their project.
- Next week – Methods, Materials and Hypothesis.
- Week of April 12th – Data and Results.
- The Final Project should be completed the week of April 19th.
The Science Fair will be on April 30th, 2010!!
Lets get started on our projects so that we do not fall behind!
Mr. Gus
