January 18th, 2010

Name: Eric Marquez

Grade: 4th

Teacher: Mr. Gonzalez

Eric is a model student that has excelled not only in the classroom, but on the playing field.  Eric is the true definition of a student athlete, and is a model of what Champion Schools represents.  He consistently finishes his homework, and is always asking for extra credit.  He is a great reader, and is one of a few students that reads an entire book before making a judgment on it.  He is also very responsible in studying every Thursday before a test, which has propelled him into academic honors.  Eric is a pleasure to have in class, and will excel in the varsity level soon. – Mr. Gonzalez

Plans For Next Week in Reading Class

All of the classes will be working hard on test preparation for the Aims test. We will be reviewing standards already covered. We will be working on practice tests independently and as a whole group.  I will be going over any test questions students struggle with. The Aims test will start Monday April 12th.

Reading Homework Update

The fiction book reports were due Friday April 2nd. Students will not have homework the week before the Aims test and the actual week of the Aims test. The week before Aims will be challenging for the students due to working hard on the practice test material.  Also practice tests will be sent home for students to review and study. Once the Aims test is over I will be assigning a new book report of a different genre. I will send home a notice on what will be expected of the students and a schedule of dates for when each part of the assignment will be due.

Thank you,

Ms. Johnson
